Increased strength of rotational moulding and reduce materials at the same time.

With any material, large flat areas are prone to deflection. Rotational moulding enables this problem to be designed out with some valuable additional advantages.

The temptation is to increase the nominal wall thickness to increase rigidity. This not only increases the material and manufacturing cost but also adds to the weight the moulding.

A far more positive solution is to incorporate ribbing, curves or features in to your design. These can all be used to strengthen the finished product and minimise the volume of thermoplastic material required.

These features can be seen as opportunity to create designs with a distinctive visual appearance to further enhance the value of the product.
