Rotational Moulding Process - Loading Powder

At the begining of the production run the main part of the mould tool is fixed to the rotational moulding machine arm. The machine operator carefully measures out the correct amount of plastic powder and places it in the mould part. Advanced mould coatings used by Amber Plastics mean no release agents are required. Any inserts or fittings incorporated in the final moulding are fitted to the mould components at this stage. The rest of mould is then assembled and clamped tightly together.

Several tools can be attached to one arm, the optimum combination being determined by the need for all mould surfaces to receive the correct heat levels.

When all the rotational moulding tools are filled and secure, the arm enters the HEAT CYCLE.
