Whatever the shape –

we can mould the tank

Use surface detailing to enhance your Rotational Moulded product

Rotational Moulding facilitates excellent external surface details and effects.

The surface texture of the mould is faithfully transferred to finished Rotationally Moulded product. The mould can be polished to give a gloss effect or textured to give a matt finish. Patterns can also be introduced to give a variety of effects. The possibilities for the surface finish on Rotational Mouldings is almost unlimited. The cost of making and maintaining the mould is usually the constraining factor.

Any number of surface textures can be selectively applied to various areas of the Rotational Moulding, allowing the designer many opportunities to enhance the aesthetics and style products for purely visual appeal, as well as meeting performance criteria.

Larger surface details can be added as long as the designer has a regard for how the moulded product is removed from the mould. Detailing could be embossed or impressed for branding or identification. Wording or detailed graphics can be added for instructions or safety notifications. The relevant parts of the mould could be exchangeable inserts, allowing variations for different markets or OEM customers. Areas can also be impressed and kept smooth, for decals to be applied in a predetermined area.

The level of detail possible will be determined by a number of variable factors, including material choice and moulding wall thickness. For more information about Rotational Moulding surface details, please contact Amber Plastics
